Twin Blasts in Lahore

11/03/08March 11, 2008

Suicide attackers in Lahore, Pakistan, have detonated two huge truck bombs killing 26 people and partly demolishing a police building. Another 175 people were wounded in the attacks which came just minutes apart in the morning rush-hour and left rescue workers scrambling through rubble in a bid to find survivors. The blasts were the latest in a wave of Islamist-linked violence that has killed more than 600 people this year.
