Uckermark - Sustainable Tourism

The Uckermark is one of the most thinly-populated regions in Germany, and one of the poorest in economic terms. There is scarcely any industry. 60 percent of the land consists of natural countryside. This year, the region won a nationwide competition for sustainable tourism on account of the many climate-friendly vacation opportunities it has to offer.
