Ukraine's president has called for the dismissal of the country's energy and justice ministers, Svitlana Grynchuk and German Galushchenko, after they were named in a corruption investigation into the energy sector.

Ukrainian prosecutors have uncovered a $100 million bribery scheme tied to energy infrastructure projects meant to protect facilities from Russian attacks. Safes stuffed with cash were seized, and five people detained. Justice Minister German Galushchenko, formerly energy minister, is under investigation. President Zelenskyy urged him and incumbent energy minister Svitlana Grynchuk to resign, stressing transparency as Russia's strikes cause blackouts across Ukraine.
