Young drone pilots are reshaping Ukraine's defense strategy, with FPV drones becoming a vital tool in countering Russia's larger forces. Patch, an 18-year-old recruit, is part of the 40th Brigade, known for its rapid drone innovation and precision. Despite low enlistment among younger Ukrainians, brigades actively recruit individuals under 25, offering roles that utilize their civilian skills. Many volunteers expect long-term service, driven by a desire for resilience and a belief in Ukraine's technological capabilities.
