British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other European leaders have vowed more military aid for Ukraine and backed US sanctions on Russian oil. The talks in London also focused on using frozen Russian assets to weaken Kremlin war funds.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in London for "Coalition of the Willing" talks aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.

Starmer urged more long-range missile support and stressed Ukraine's security as vital to NATO.

In attendance were NATO chief Mark Rutte, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and the Netherlands' Dick Schoof.

Others, such as French President Emmanuel Macron, joined the meeting online.

Meanwhile, new US sanctions on Russian oil firms are designed to restrict Russian oil revenue, aiming to pressure President Vladimir Putin into peace talks.
