UN Biodiversity Conference Achieves Consensus

The UN Biodiversity Conference held in Bonn has ended with “greater consensus than hoped for”, in the words of the German Environment Minister Sigmar Gabriel. The delegates were divided on some controversial topics such as biofuels and their impact on biodiversity. More than 6,000 delegates from 191 countries took part in the two week conference.
