After 500 days of siege, El Fasher in Sudan's Darfur region faces a humanitarian crisis. UNICEF reports over 130,000 children are trapped, with starvation and disease spreading. The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces are accused of blocking aid, and of killing 89 civilians, including 16 summary executions. Cholera outbreaks and attacks on hospitals are exacerbating the crisis.
