US is trying to encourage European countries to install the full body scanners at airports

The major security alarm at Germany's Munich airport on Wednesday is another example of the challenges facing airline security. The United States enhanced its security procedures after the attempted Christmas day bomb plot. A man carrying explosive material was able to get past security and board a plane in Amsterdam with the intention of blowing it up. The US is now trying to encourage European countries to install the full body scanners at airports. But some EU countries have voiced privacy and health concerns.
