US forces struck targets across Iran overnight, marking 13 consecutive days of attacks. Iran says it struck US assets in the Gulf region in response. Meanwhile, the UN is warning against an escalation.

Fighting between the United States and Iranhas continued for 13 consecutive nights of US strikes on targets in Iran.

US Central Command said the attacks targeted military capabilities threatening commercial shipping, while Iran claimed Washington has deployed advanced weapons against the country.

The UN has warned the conflict could spiral out of control, as both sides adopt increasingly confrontational rhetoric and the risk of wider regional escalation grows.
