Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro says the motive behind the US's alleged anti-drug operations is to oust him and take control of Caracas' oil reserves.

Venezuelahas turned to the United Nations as US naval forces intensify operations in the southern Caribbean. Caracas accuses Washington of fabricating threats to justify military pressure, while President Maduro claims the true goal is control of Venezuela's vast oil reserves. Amid sanctions and economic crisis, civilians are training with firearms to defend the country. With eight US warships deployed, the region faces a mounting risk of confrontation.
