Half-time at Venice Biennale

The 56th Venice Biennale has celebrated its half-way point by welcoming its 135,000th visitor. The art celebration unites under the theme "All the World's Futures," and features the world's leading contemporary artists.

There are no contemporary art events to rival the Venice Biennale. Since 1895, the "Olympics" of the contemporary art world has presented the future of art, exhibited in 30 national pavilions and a number of other venues across the enchanting city. DW has been on hand to experience the extraordinary array of art, installations and big ideas.
