# Hungary has declared a state of emergency in three western counties, following a toxic mud spill at an aluminum factory. At least four people have been killed, and six others are missing. The accident occured in the village of Kolontar. Five neighbouring villages have been directly affected. A dam of a sludge reservoir at the factory burst, releasing over half a million cubic meters of toxic waste into the surrounding villages.
