Classic roadsters traditionally come from England. But in the 1930s a dashing new model from Bavaria emerged as a serious competitor: the BMW 328!

BMW opened a new chapter in the history of sports cars in 1936 with the 328. The compact two-seater set new standards in road holding, handling and temperament. It left the established competition for dust. The 328’s 2,000 cc engine delivered 80 horsepower - a real sensation back then. The 328 also outshone its rivals at the Mille Miglia in 1940, with Huschke von Hanstein and Walter Bäumer at the wheel. drive it! says many happy returns for this automotive landmark in its 75th anniversary year.
