Violent Protests against Mainland China's Envoy in Taiwan

Mainland China’s envoy Chen Yunlin has wrapped up his historic visit to Taiwan. It was the first time a high-ranking official from Beijing visited the island, regarded as a breakaway province by Beijing. But the trip was overshadowed by massive protests: More than a hundred people were injured in violence between protestors and the police on Friday, the worst clashes of this kind in Taiwan for a decade.
