Creative concoctions, fantastic photos and personal stories: food blogs have everything conventional cookery books have to offer - and more. In both cases, it’s usually women sharing their secrets, both culinary and domestic. The big attraction of the virtual version is that readers can actually join in from wherever they are in the world.

India-born Meeta Khurana Wolff writes a blog called "What’s for lunch, honey?” Originally launched as a hobby, the German-based blog has become an international hit, thanks not least to her highly appetizing photos. In 2009 The Times named Meeta Khurana Wolff among the top 50 food blogs worldwide. The self-taught chef has since set up workshops in various countries on food-styling and photography.
