German carmaker Volkswagen has taken a majority stake in Swedish truckmaker Scania. V-W says it agreed to buy out the shares of Scania held by Investor AB and the Wallenberg Foundations. This could end wrangling over a possible three-way merger with truckmaker MAN, whose biggest owner is also Volkswagen.
