# There've been mass evacuations in Pakistan's south, as rising floodwaters threaten more towns and villages. The country's worst humanitarian crisis is far from over, as evacuees face a critical lack of food and the threat of water-borne diseases. +++LM REIN+++ Over the past month.. torrential rains have triggered massive floods, that started in the mountainous north-west. The flood-wave has gradually moved southwards, inundating areas like Thatta, as the high waters breach embankments.
