Join us this week for another eco@africa episode filled to the brim with eco innovations from the Europe and Africa.  

First, we'll be heading to a South African township for watersports with a green twist. There, two former supermarket employees are teaching kids how to canoe — and are helping to clean up a city wetland in the process. 

Then we pop to Cameroon for some deep-fried cleaning. Intrigued? You certainly should be. From there stop off in Nigeria to meet an entrepreneur whose mobile, solar-powered cold storage units are helping African farmers keep their food fresh in sweltering heat. 

Farmers in Malawi are having trouble getting their crops to harvest in the first place due to an attack of armyworms. One farmer and his wife have come up with an eco-friendly solution to repelling the pests. 

The penultimate stop on our journey is Italy where we find out how ocean liners are polluting the air — and meet the activists measuring that pollution. 

Finally, we go to Uganda to find out about a hydropower plant that will bring electricity to thousands in rural areas but at the same time is forcing farmers to move off their lands.
