US President Donald Trump has pledged to help Iranian protesters after a deadly crackdown that has claimed thousands of lives. If he decides to launch a military attack what would that look like? And what are the risks?

Washington and Tehran trade threats while the US considers air and missile strikes on Revolutionary Guard bases, missile sites and nuclear facilities.
