Recent clashes in several areas along the countries' vast shared border have left dozens dead. The violence is the worst between the two neighbors since the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan in 2021.

Deadly clashes have erupted between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban near the border town of Spin Boldak, leaving dozens of civilians dead. Pakistan claims its strikes targeted the Pakistani Taliban (TTP), which it has accused the Afghan Taliban of sheltering.

Tensions have escalated since the Afghan Taliban seized power in 2021, with border closures now threatening trade and livelihoods. Experts warn the conflict could worsen without international mediation.
