The first road bridge between North Korea and Russia has opened. Ties between the two countries have strengthened since 2022, so could this bridge bring the two Western-sanctioned nations even closer together?

Analysts see the opening of the first road bridge between North Korea and Russia  as a sign of deepening ties between two increasingly isolated regimes. But there’s also potential for Pyongyang to use it to increase the supply of men and material for Russia’s war in Ukraine. What are the wider implications of closer cooperation between Russia and North Korea?
