Moldova is becoming a popular destination for medical tourists. A growing number of Europeans are traveling to the capital, Chisinau, for services such as dental treatment, plastic surgery or in vitro fertilization.

More and more Europeans are discovering Moldova as a destination for medical services such as dental treatment, plastic surgery and in vitro fertilization (IVF).

In 2025, more than 30,000 foreign patients traveled to the small eastern European country, generating more than $85 million (€73 million) in medical service revenues. Experts estimate that this figure could top $100 million in 2026.

Moldova's proximity to the EU, affordable prices, shorter waiting times and high medical standards make the country attractive for foreign patients.
