In recent months Ukraine has been able to gain more territory than it's been losing in the war against Russia. The expertise in drone warfare gained over the past years is turning into a global economic opportunity.

Five years into Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, experts say Ukraine may be turning the tide.

EU leaders point to battlefield gains, mounting strain on Russia's forces and an economy under pressure.

Ukraine is intensifying long‑range drone attacks deep inside Russia, prompting scaled‑down Victory Day events.

Kyiv is also exporting its drone warfare expertise, striking deals with more than 20 countries. EU backing has also grown after elections in Hungary unlocked a €90 billion ($105 billion) defense loan.
