Protests in Ukraine over President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's leadership shakeup have persisted despite progress in the war with Russia. Though Zelenskyy has replaced his commander-in-chief, protesters demand the return of Ukraine's dismissed defense minister.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy  is facing growing domestic pressure as thousands of Ukrainians stage ongoing protests over the dismissal of Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

Demonstrators say Fedorov played a key role in military innovation, defense reform and tackling procurement corruption during Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Although Zelenskyy replaced commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi following public criticism, protesters continue to demand Fedorov’s reinstatement. The unrest has emerged as one of the most significant political challenges to Ukraine’s wartime leadership.
