In the last two decades, Zambia’s agriculture sector has benefited from foreign investment. The country’s commercial farming industry profited from farmers who left neighboring Zimbabwe amid land reform in the early 2000s. Today, more than 2 out of 5 commercial farmers in Zambia are Zimbabweans who fled their country. But despite the progress, Zambia still faces an uphill battle.
