國際法庭明天對泰勒宣判

一個歷史性的審判程序將劃上句號:塞拉利昂戰犯法庭於本周三(5月29日)宣佈對前利比裡亞獨裁者泰勒(Charles Taylor)的判決。泰勒由此成為第二次世界大戰後紐倫堡審判以來被國際法庭判刑的首位國家元首。現年64歲的泰勒上月底被該法庭裁定在塞拉利昂內戰中支持叛軍並唆使犯罪,因而犯有侵犯人權罪。檢察方要求判處泰勒80年監禁。泰勒於2006年在奈及利亞被捕。有100多名證人的泰勒審判程序起始於2007年6月4日。證人中包括前南非總統曼德拉。
