紐約

中國維權人士陳光誠計劃寫一本有關其捍衛人權的鬥爭的書。陳的發言人馬特‧道爾夫(Matt Dorf)周四在紐約表示,這位盲人維權人士有三個目標:為自己家鄉的更多自由而呼籲、支持自己的家庭,以及幫助人權組織募集資金。陳光誠目前還沒有開始動筆寫作,但他希望未來幾周內和出版商見面。在北京和華盛頓之間僵持了一個月的外交危機之後,陳光誠得以離開中國前往美國。此前,他在中國遭受了總共七年的監禁和軟禁生活,並於4月底逃往美國駐京大使館。
