国际法庭明天对泰勒宣判

一个历史性的审判程序将划上句号:塞拉利昂战犯法庭于本周三(5月29日)宣布对前利比里亚独裁者泰勒(Charles Taylor)的判决。泰勒由此成为第二次世界大战后纽伦堡审判以来被国际法庭判刑的首位国家元首。现年64岁的泰勒上月底被该法庭裁定在塞拉利昂内战中支持叛军并唆使犯罪,因而犯有侵犯人权罪。检察方要求判处泰勒80年监禁。泰勒于2006年在尼日利亚被捕。有100多名证人的泰勒审判程序起始于2007年6月4日。证人中包括前南非总统曼德拉。
