昂山素季挑战现行宪法

新近当选为议员的缅甸反对派领袖昂山素季将拒绝在宣誓就职时援引国家宪法。昂山素季所在的全国民主联盟的一名发言人周四(4月12日)作了上述通报。在议会补选选战中,昂山素季曾批评这一制定于军政府时代的宪法,并许诺致力于修改宪法。根据这一宪法,议会中的四分之一议席保留给军方。在本月1日举行的议会补选中,全国民主联盟获得了45个补选议席中的43席。昂山素季的一位党内朋友指出,如果国家领导人不更改议员就职宣誓内容,全国民主联盟的当选议员不会再6月23日那天进入议会。
